Lucas & Jessica’s Siding, Window, and Gutter Project in Hammond, WI

Oftentimes, the need for a home improvement is triggered by a life event.  Homeowners have contacted us to renovate their homes for graduation parties, bar mitzvahs, and weddings.  In Lucas and Jessica’s case, they had recently learned that they were going to be first-time parents.  While uncertain if they were in their “forever home”, they knew there were a list of home improvements that would make their property more marketable if they chose to sell.  In the event they stayed put, we assured them that their projects could be completed prior to the arrival of their newborn.

Here’s a list of exterior renovations we completed for this Western Wisconsin couple:

SIDING: Industry reports consistently rank maintenance-free siding as one of the best home improvement projects for creating home equity.  Having determined that their current home siding wouldn’t win any points with perspective buyers, Lucas and Jessica, started to explore their seamless siding options.  Ultimately they chose steel.  The gauge offered by Lindus Construction is 20% thicker than competitors.  The steel is embossed to give the aesthetics of woodgrain.  In order to match a preexisting shed, the Lucas and Jessica chose red for their siding color.  White window wraps added contrast.  After this portion of the project was completed, Jessica said, “Josh and Brennan were awesome!! They worked from sun up to sun down every day some mornings in the sprinkling rain. They cleaned up every day they were at our house so that you wouldn’t even have known they were there working before that.”

WINDOW: The sole light source for the home’s laundry room was fluorescent lighting.   Understanding that natural light would be a selling point to potential buyers, Lucas and Jessica opted to have us install a SeasonGuard casement window.  Their three continuous seals of weather stripping have some of the industry’s lowest air infiltration rates.  Homeowners have the option to select customized interior and exterior colors and in this case, white was chosen for both.
